Another TV knitting this week.
Felicity hat.
I am making this for my best friend, using Malabrigo Worsted in the Amoroso colorway.
This is the 2nd felicity hat I made this week. The first one was using Malabrigo Worsted as well but in the Red Mahogany colorway.
Based on numerous raveler comments, I casted on 80 sts (instead of 70 sts as per pattern). I use size 8 needles for the first 2 1/2 inches and then switched to size 9 needles.
I love this hat because it's easy and a fast knit. It is also very comfy to wear. The yarn is so soft and cuddly at the same time.

I love the colour :) I knit my boyfriend a hat out of malabrigo worsted (dark blue and not nearly as pretty as yours!) and I know what you mean about the yarn being so soft and cuddly :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous yarn, that Malabrigo! Good thing I'm nowhere near a LYS or I'd be soooo tempted by your lovely photo!
ReplyDeletethat is a great colorway. i love how all the colors are stacking up as stripes. i hope your friend knows how lucky she is!
ReplyDeletepinkundine, I love the color too. I sort of like this colorway more than the red mahogany one that I made for myself. Oh well, I can get always myself another skein!
ReplyDeleteMMOS, LYS is dangerous! So is the online yarn store.
ECL, I am the lucky one. She is a very good friend and we've been through a lot together.
I do love that Malabrigo, and I just added Felicity to my favorites. thanks for you modification notes!
ReplyDeleteI love the color! The pattern look super simple, but its still beautiful in its simplicity!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty yarn.
